DETAIL DESCRIPTION
Since the first day of school, the amount of litter and trash in the neighborhood has increased exponentially. Students in large numbers hangout in front of neighborhood homes, apartment buildings and local businesses, leaving empty soda cans/bottles, potato chip bags, etc. on and in front of these locations on a daily basis, with little to no regard for the the neighborhood in which they are destroying. Long Island City High School, the school in question has taken no action whatsoever, leaving it to owners, building supers, and concerned residents with the task of cleaning up after the careless students. Many of these places have had an increase in rodent and insect presence, and its time for LIC High School to step up and address this problem which they are responsible for. |
