DETAIL DESCRIPTION
To whom it may concern,
I am writing this because for the past 3 months, I have been looking at a mound of Dirt and Trash pile located directly in the rear of my house. For months, I have watched the pile increase in size with no resolution or any attempt to decrease it. The pile/mound is only 10 yards or less from my driveway. Not only is it an eye sore, it is litter, it is a rat/critter haven, and it is becoming more and more hazardous by the weeks. Please assist if possible or direct me to the proper authority that governs this issue.
The subdivision (Midtowne on the Park), is a fairly new subdivision to the Greater Huntsville area. Our house was the first house built on the side of the street which we live on. My family and I have watched many houses being built in the subdivision. There are two entrances to the subdivision but unless you are riding around the neighborhood, you would not see the monstrosity of a trash pile in the back of my house. I only mentioned this because I have notified the president of our Home Owners Association (HOA) about the problem and there has been no attempt to rectify the problem. It appears as if, as long as it is not seen from the main road as people drive in an out, it is no problem. Will for my family and the other families that live on my street, it is very much a problem.
I have spoken with the President of our Home Owners Association twice now and on each occasion; I was promised that something would be done; nothing has been done. If ever there was a need for the HOA to stand up and take action, this would be an excellent reason. Because our homes (my neighbors and I), are not on the main road, I feel that we are being purposely dismissed.
We all here at Midtowne on the Park pay HOA fees and it is time for our money to be used appropriately. The unsightly trash pile is a disgrace to the neighborhood and it is hazardous to our families. The weeds around the pile have not been cut or maintain which is also becoming a fire hazard.
