DETAIL DESCRIPTION The State of AL and cities have unenforced litter statutes and ordinances, because the City of Saraland where I live and have to travel within allows property owners or renters to encourage the littering of toilet paper onto all outdoor botanical growth, to mean, the property owners do not report the crime of littering, I assume. A few houses I passed within communities--as I rode my bicycle from where I live on First Avenue to the post office on Norton Avenue and Water Board on Shelton Beach Rd--have so much debris in the form of bathroom tissue rolls that it has blown over into a couple of nearby yards.
The worst yard closest to my house is three blocks away across the street from Hertz Park. Another is across the street from the Saraland Civic Center area. Many homes have litter of the kind in the subdivision between Ennis St and Hwy 43. Do you want a me to file a criminal complaint? Probably the Saraland High School principal might explain to its football fans that many people struggle to buy enough bathroon tissue just for daily hygiene needs. |
