DETAIL DESCRIPTION Dartmouth Ave, between 4901 and 4944 Dartmouth Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90032, is frequently visited by loiterers who are attracted to the view from that area. The area is somewhat secluded which adds to the appeal. As a result, various people come and park along the road to hangout on the street where they eat and/or drink amongst other things. Often times it is alcohol. They leave their trash behind as evidence. I have witnessed children from the neighborhood picking up the left over beer bottles and smashing them on the street. The littering happens everyday of the week, day and night, and is especially heavy on the weekends. A lot of the paper trash gets blown into the yards of the neighboring homes. Aside from littering, there is also illegal dumping and vandalism. The littering and dumping has at times made it an obstacle for me to get to my home. The street is narrow and windy. The paper trash is a fire hazard. Someone attempted to put a trash can in the area but a loiter vandalized it by setting it on fire. The police have not responded to the degradation that is occurring that could lead to even greater threats such as a fire. This area is subject of a broken window. I am reaching out to see who is accountable and keep loiters away to stop the damages that are occurring and prevent greater risks. I have photographs if needed. Thank you. |
