DETAIL DESCRIPTION
At the end of Begley Crossing on Lick Branch Road in the Combs community of Perry County there is a massive dump site. A resident who lives nearby is the main person dumping. They will bring their garbage down from their house (which is located up the hill behind the dumpsite) and just throw it down. Theres a little of everything dumped there, ranging from soda bottles, to syringe needles, to scrap metal. The entire family litter, Marshall Herald dumps the scrap metals and trash, and his stepsons Joshua and Marcus Campbell have been dumping the syringe needles and trash. Marcus drives brings trash from his home up the road and dumps in his car. The neighbors have worked together several times to clean this area and they come directly behind and pollute again. Mr. Herald owns property up the hill behind the dumpsite, but throws his scrap metal down in piles on property which to my knowledge he does not own. The property did belong to Adna Combs, but I believe it is owned by the bank now, so he is littering. And personally Im not cleaning it up again, especially since I have seen syringe needles. Its a complete eye sore and even more so now since the trees are dying out. They also have a huge trash pile over the hill in front of their home, because they will just walk outside and throw trash off of their porch. Honestly I dont understand why it hasnt been condemned, like I said there are syringe needles laying all over the place, there is children walking around and half the time with no shoes on. It doesnt do any good to ask nicely or rudely for them to pick it up, because then they get mad and just throw more down. Id really appreciate if this could be looked into, I personally will be making a copy of this for reference. As soon as someone comes out to this location they will immediately see the dumpsite, its right at the end of Begley Crossing which is on the right on Lick Branch Road in KY. |
