Hello,
The company that appears to be a junk yard and located at 5603 Martin Luther King Junior Highway, Capitol Heights, MD 20743 is dumping tires across the street from 300 Eastern Avenue NE, Washington, DC 20019. Additionally, the amount of trash that is coming from their property is blowing into the neighborhood at an alarming rate. This past weekend, the trash became so out of hand that I personally picked up 6 garbage bags worth of trash and litter that is blowing from their property and there is still a ton of trash left to be cleaned. Their trash is blowing into the historical land which houses the East Corner Boundary Stone a stone that divides DC from Maryland and dated back to 1792. This company not only needs to be fined for the amount of trash that they are personally blowing into the neighborhood, but should also be responsible for CLEANING up all of the land IMMEDIATELY and then notifying the residents of the neighborhood of their doing so! This is ridiculous and is becoming a health hazard for the community and its residents of the surrounding area. Ive even taken some pictures and would be willing to show them if requested since there is no location to insert said pictures. Lets please hold these people accountable for their actions and begin to clean up the surrounding area! |
