DETAIL DESCRIPTION In the last 3-4 years that littering problem has escalaated in Temple Hills residence roads, particularly, Brinkley Road, Fisher Road. Abandoned homes are not maintained, for example, 5900 Brinkley Road, long time abandoned and used as a land fill. It appears all the tax payer monies are being used for the National Harbor area. This includes streets that havent been repaired from snow damage 2 years ago. The county had the audacity to plant trees at the Exit 4 exit facing the beltway to give the impression that this area is as well maintained as the new National Harbor Casino area roads, but a simple measure as placing trash cans and littering signs on main roads is the reality as soon as you get off the exit, in both directions. A sin considering the Temple Hills area is adjacent to the Harbor and we pay taxes too. Numerous e-mails to our reps have gone unanswered and no action has been taken. We can only assume they dont live in this area, just want us to elect them. Most recently, trees were cut down all along these roads, but no attempt has been made to pick them up. Trash cans are let out in the street all week long, filled to the rim, but all calls to enforce home ordinances, are ignored. Long time group of retired military residents have seen a major decline in this area and we will no longer promote moving to this area to our military community. We are all talking about getting out of the abandoned area off of Exit 4A. |
