DETAIL DESCRIPTION We were several car lengths behind a car, had just passsed Calhoun Community College on Highway 31 S headed from Decatur to Athens - we saw something hit the ground and burst open - we only had a few seconds but as we drove up to it and past it we saw what looked to be a partial sandwich half wrapped in a fast food paper wrapper. You could see it clear enough that it looked like part of a bun - thus we say sandwich. The car was in the right hand lane and threw the sandwich thing just right about on the center line, so they did not run over it, nor did we. The car never hit their brakes or slowed down, just kept driving. We stayed behind them all the way to the intersection of 31 and Huntsville Brownsferry Rd. Because of a stop light we were able to get their license plate number and also see that the driver was a white female. Their lecense plate was the AL one with the darker colors on it - not a white background. We were able to clearly get the number since we were stopped at the light and our passenger wrote it down as our driver read it out. We both double checked the number.
