DETAIL DESCRIPTION City of Eastpointe Code Enforcement Officer Darrin Carly littered in front of my home at 8:30 AM today, 11/19/2019, during the course of his official duties. Young Officer Darrin was placing an orange “Abandoned Vehicle” sticker on my vehicle (legally parked in front of my home) and when he removed the sticker’s wax paper backing, he chose to throw it onto the ground instead of walking less than 20 ft to my garbage can where he could have disposed of his refuse properly. Instead, I had to clean up the mess he left in the street before I could remove the sticker from my vehicle. I never would’ve guessed that random trash was from his sticker, if it hadn’t been directly on the ground below the vehicle, and matched up to the sticker exactly. I’ve decided to retain the sticker backing as evidence of his littering, because I want to make sure this lazy young man learns his lesson and pays the full $500 fine out of his own pocket. I’m happy to follow up with any questions, my name is Scott and I can be reached at my home address listed above or by phone @ (586) 913-5004. |
